Fencing
Fencing is a fun and interesting sport with many chances to meet new people at competitions and training and improves fitness.
There are competitions that welcome all abilities and are a good chance to meet new people and improve your skill.
Membership is £15 for the year and for that you get training for a qualified tutor, the loan of kit and a chance to compete in some competitions such as the BUCS. You may need to join the British Fencing Association for some competitions but this is only around £20, and is not needed for all competitions.
